Regulation (EU) 2024/573 replaced Regulation (EU) 517/2014. Equipment requirements must be assessed using the equipment type, refrigerant and documented charge.
Information for assessment
Prepare the model, accessible equipment label, circuit documentation and service history. Do not determine requirements from the number of indoor units or the brand alone.
Applicability, exceptions, intervals and qualification requirements must be checked against current rules for the specific situation. Cleaning the unit and working on its refrigerant circuit are different activities.
Preparing an enquiry
Record the model and room for each unit, observed symptoms and the last known maintenance. Describe access to indoor and outdoor units without dismantling components to obtain information.
For multiple units, keep a room-by-room list. Dates, work and associated records are agreed in the discussion according to the situation.
